Paul Zammit began his business career in 1973 (Zammit Sales Pty Ltd) until 1984 when the company was purchased by Wattyl Paints Pty Ltd.
In 1984, Paul contested the NSW State seat of Burwood (later renamed Strathfield) and was elected to the NSW Parliament thus commencing his 15 years parliamentary career.
Paul served for a period of 12 years as the Member of Parliament for the NSW State seat of Burwood/Strathfield. He resigned from this seat in order to contest the Federal Seat of Lowe which he won in 1996 when he was elected to the National Parliament of Australia until 1998 after which he returned to the world of business with the new company named Zammit Sales, Marketing and Management Pty Ltd with its Head Office located in Sydney CBD, directly opposite Wynyard Train Station.
Paul continues to be a Fellow of the Institute of Company Directors after more than 30 years, has an extensive background in both the government and non-government sectors and has served on numerous public and private boards, the latest of which was a Directorship for some 8 years on the NSW Sydney Metropolitan Water Catchment Authority.
Zammit Sales Marketing and Management comprises 3 divisions:
- Zammit Publishing
- Zammit Marketing
- Zammit Digital, and
- Zammit Promotional Cups et al, the latter of which has expanded to include other promotional items and has been renamed: Zammit Promotional Products
